My wife got us ticket to see this play, I did not know what to expect, and I didn’t even know what it was about. We had some cheap seats on the back, and we arrive quite early. Some nice lady who worked there approached us and offer to move us free of charge to some available seat right in the front. Little did we know, that person was no one else but Alex Kingston the star of the show! So thank you Alex for the wonderful seats! You really made our day… The show was brilliant and dived in a very sensitive subject regarding Equal Opportunities or Affirmative Action as it is called on the side of the pond. You can see the different angles from those who are trying to help to those who fall “victim“ or feel victimised by it. The play is smart, eye opening and shows the complexity of the issue through the eyes of two families equally yet differently affected by the issue. The use of the stage was smart. The decor was fixed but the use of light mixed with the fantastic acting opened the horizons in this very fast pace play. I recommend this play to anyone and everyone and being from a minority background I think this is a good way to understand the struggles relating with this matter.
